2012 FALL MEETING AND SYMPOSIUM AT NASHVILLE

October 12-14

The Nashville Chapter of the TOS invites TOS members and all other interested birders to the Fall Meeting and Symposium on October 12-14, 2012. The meeting will feature a Friday evening gathering, field trips to many of the local area hotspots and possibly to the Duck River Unit of Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday, a Board of Directors meeting and symposium with submitted presentations on Saturday afternoon, and additional presentations including:
- Earl Henry, Jr. on the artistry of his father
- Chris Sloan on pelagic birding for the initiated and un-initiated, and
- a likely program on shorebird identification.

The host hotel is the Baymont Inn, 111 Penn Warren Drive, Brentwood, TN 37027. Rooms are $69 plus tax; call 1-615-376-4666 to make a reservation. The Baymost Inn is located just off of Old Hickory Boulevard close to I-65 Exit 74B on the south side of Nashville. Registration will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Baymont Inn. The Saturday afternoon meeting and symposium will be held at the Warner Parks Nature Center.

Sandy Bivens, Superintendent of Nature Centers, has offered to set up a banding session at the Warner Parks Nature Center if there is enough interest. Please indicate if you are interested in attending a bird banding session at Warner Parks on the registration form.
