Join us for the Memphis TOS chapter’s Fall Count at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park. Our trip leader is Dick Preston. Check out recent and past eBird sightings at this hotspot here.

Meet at 7:30 am on Saturday, September 11 at the park office/visitor center parking lot, 910 Riddick Rd., Millington, TN 38053. You can also bird anywhere in Shelby County that day and send your observations to dickpreston48@gmail.com. Include observers’ names, location(s) birded, species, miles, and hours.

The park consists primarily of some 13,467 acres of upland and bottomland forests with miles of hiking trails and two lakes. It hosts one of the finest arrays of plant and animal life in Tennessee. A boat launch on the north end of the park accesses the Mississippi River.

For more information, contact Dick Preston at dickpreston48@gmail.com or 901-837-3360.
