Join the Memphis TOS chapter for its annual Fall Count at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park. Our trip leader is Dick Preston. Check out eBird sightings at this hotspot here.

Meet at 7:30 am on Saturday, September 14 at the park office/visitor center parking lot, 910 Riddick Rd., Millington, TN 38053. You don’t have to be a MTOS member, there is no charge, and please bring binoculars.

You can also bird anywhere in Shelby County that day and send your observations to dickpreston48@gmail.com.

The park consists primarily of some 13,467 acres of upland and bottomland forests with miles of hiking trails and two lakes. It hosts one of the finest arrays of plant and animal life in Tennessee. A boat launch on the north end of the park accesses the Mississippi River.
