BBC Field Trip to Whitetop Mountain – June 13, 2026

The Bristol Bird Club will have a field trip to Whitetop Mountain in southwest VA on Saturday, June 13. Cade Campbell of Blue Ridge Discovery Center will lead the trip. Meet at the A.T. Trailhead at Elk Garden at 8:00 AM.
After birding around Elk Garden, Cade will lead the group up the mountain road to the top of Whitetop. At over 5500′ elevation, it is the second highest peak in Virginia. This is always a fun and rewarding trip.
The Blue Ridge Discovery Center has invited attendees to enjoy their BYO lunches at the BRDC picnic tables.
