BBC and EBC Club Burke’s Garden, VA Field Trip [Morning Meeting Time 7:00am EBC and 7:30 BBC EST]

Burke’s Garden, Virginia Trip

The Lee and Lois Herndon Chapter, and Bristol Chapter of the Tennessee
Ornithological Society will be conducting a birding trip to Burke’s Garden, Virginia
on Saturday, March 21, 2026. We will be carpooling from two locations.

For those living close to Johnson City, we will meet at the American Center (where
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is located) at 3006 Bristol Highway, Johnson City,
Tennessee. Park near American Lighting. Please be there at 6:45am, as we plan
to leave at 7am.

For those living near Bristol, we will meet at the Summit Building at 1227
Volunteer Parkway, Bristol, Tennessee. This is where the Bristol chapter holds
their meetings. Please be there by 7:30pm. We plan to leave as soon as possible
after the group from Johnson City arrives.

This is an all-day event. We will plan to stop at the Hardee’s in Tazewell, Virginia
for a quick pit stop before heading into Burke’s Garden. We will plan to eat lunch
at the General Store in Burke’s Garden, but you will need cash because they do
not accept checks or credit cards. You can also bring your own lunch if you would
like. Depending on the birding, we will probably return between 5:30-8pm.
