MTOS Field Trip to Wolf River WMA – Fayette Co

Larry Chitwood is leading the Memphis chapter’s annual afternoon field trip to the Wolf River Wildlife Management Area in Fayette County, TN.  Bald Eagle, displaying American Woodcock, Sedge and Marsh Wren, Northern Bobwhite, assorted sparrows, Short-eared Owl, and more are possible. We’ll also be looking for American Tree Sparrows. Check out eBird sightings at this hotspot here.

NOTE: this trip is divided into two parts with two meeting spots. For Part 1, meet at 12:30 p.m. at the USPS, 30 Main Street in La Grange, TN. From there we’ll drive to the Mineral Slough Boardwalk. For those who only want to attend Part 2, meet at 3:30 at the pole barn area on Beasley Dr.
